AntiSpyware is a tool that detects spyware, adware and malware that could affect the performance of your computer and the privacy of your information.
This utility helps to protect the privacy of your information; its GUI is easy and friendly to user, sections are separated by tabs using a single window for the program; it’s easy to configure, on the Settings tab you can specify start up behavior to scan every time Windows starts up. There are two tabs that contain two kinds of lists: one contains the quarantine list where you can manage the threats; the second is the Ignore list where you can remove previously ignored threats. The Scan tab automatically will scan your computer. On the Home tab beside we have general information there are some tools that are included with this utility. The repair, delete and fix of the files or registries affected by this spyware, adware or malware are not enabled for this trial version.
The additional tools included are:
BHO Manager – Browser Helper Objects Manager attach themselves to Internet Explorer and start each time you your browser is started.
Full Registry Backup – allows you to make full registry backups whenever you wish to preserve a working copy of your Windows registry.
Add Remove Program Manager – Add/Remove program items are entries that are listed on the Add/Remove programs section of your PC’s control panel.
Startup Manager – allows you to view the programs that run when Windows started up. You can see what it does and if you need it you can disable some of them.
Scan Scheduler – allows you to schedule scanning tasks. However is not enabled for this trial version.
Home Page Manager – allows you to set it up the Home page of your browser.
The AntiSpyware’s installation process is very easy to perform. It also provides live update to keep your program with the latest version. There is no help or documentation into this program and on the website there is some information but no formal documentation on this software.
AntiSpyware works on Windows 98/ME/2000/XP platforms.
